COVID-19 (coronavirus) Update
Dear Patients and Friends,
With the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) (www.cdc.gov) pandemic, our primary concern is the health and safety of our patients, families, and employees.
Unfortunately, the segment of the population at the greatest risk is our older citizens and people who have underlying, chronic medical conditions. These conditions include heart disease, lung disease, respiratory disease, and immunocompromising diseases.
To keep yourself safe, stay out of large crowds and avoid rubbing your eyes, nose, and mouth with your hands. Wash your hands frequently, and distance yourself from others that have cold or flu-like symptoms. It’s crucial to cover your mouth and nose when you cough and sneeze with the inside of your elbow. If you have a fever please stay home!
As a result of the CDC’s guidelines, one of the safest places you could be, other than your own home, is a dental office. Our office has a spacious reception room, so patients have plenty of room to spread out. We also pride ourselves on running on schedule, so you won’t have to wait long to see our experienced dental staff. We always follow all of these disinfection guidelines every day in our office, so not much has changed for my team and me.
Our Promise
My team disinfects all of our surfaces after every patient, including all countertops, clinical chairs and stools, overhead lights, and x-ray equipment. We’re further able to protect you and our equipment with disposable plastic covers. This goes along with our stringent sterilization procedures for all of our clinical instruments. We also use disposable items when possible.
My team and I are washing our hands regularly, changing our gloves and masks frequently, and always wearing protective eyewear. We’ll also be taking every patient’s temperature during their appointments until the pandemic is over. So, if you have any questions or concerns, please call us to assist you during these trying times.
Sincerely, in good health,
Dr. John Conness and Team

Our Dental Implant Solutions
Single & Multi-Tooth Replacements
We offer single dental implants or an implant-supported bridge if you need to restore missing teeth. Our experienced dentist will surgically bond your implants to your jawbone to restore function and protect your oral health. Each dental implant is custom created to blend in flawlessly with the rest of your smile.
Full-Arch Replacements
Are you missing one or both arches of teeth? If so, we can replace them with full arch tooth replacements. Dr. Conness will use just four dental implants per arch to restore your beautiful smile. After only one visit, you’ll be able to enjoy the benefits of a newly restored smile that you can feel confident about.
Implant-Supported Dentures
Regular wear-and-tear can cause traditional dentures to become loose and shift around, causing discomfort. That’s why we offer implant-supported dentures. This restoration uses multiple dental implant fixtures to secure dentures to your jaw, stimulating bone growth and restoring function. We provide both fixed and removable options for your convenience.
3 Reasons Our
Process Stands Out
1. We specifically create each of our restorations to fit your exact smile. We’ll use detailed 3D images and advanced technology to ensure your porcelain dental implants are the same size, shape, and color as your natural teeth.
2. Whether you suffer from anxiety at the dentist or just get nervous during extensive procedures, we’ll provide you with sedation dentistry to make you feel completely comfortable and relaxed.
3. If your jawbone lacks density and needs additional support, we can use supplemental procedures to strengthen it. Plus, our supplemental procedures also help us treat gum disease and increase your likelihood of being a candidate for dental implants.

Our Advanced Technology
Dentists are constantly making technological advancements. Therefore, Dr. Conness expands his knowledge by staying up-to-date with the latest dental technology. Each device allows us to provide you with beautiful dental implants that are placed as accurately as possible.
For your satisfaction, we use the following technological devices:
- Cone-beam CT imaging — This advanced technology generates 3D images to help Dr. Conness see each angle of your mouth before and during your treatment
- Digital X-rays — Unlike traditional x-rays, this method provides us with high-quality images of your teeth and jaw while emitting fewer harmful rays
- Intraoral cameras — Our interactive wand allows us to show you how your teeth and gums look by displaying the images on a computer screen in real-time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are dental implants right for me?
If you have one or more missing or damaged teeth, dental implants may be the solution you’ve been looking for. An implant is securely placed in the jaw bone to replace your missing tooth and provide lasting support for your new prosthetic. Unlike traditional tooth replacement solutions, dental implant restorations won’t shift or slide around in your mouth. You’ll be able to speak, chew, and smile with ease and confidence.
Ideal candidates for dental implants must be relatively healthy and have substantial jawbone density for successful placement. To learn more or schedule a consultation with our Ottawa implant dentist, give us a call at 815-324-2550 and our staff will explain the requirements.
